About Us

Who We Are

First and foremost, we are followers of Jesus Christ. We are imperfect people who have been saved by a perfect Savior.

There’s nothing fancy about us. We’re ordinary, small-town people.

We are simply trying to live the Christian life together, and have a genuine desire to see others experience the life-change that comes from a growing, vibrant relationship with Christ.

Where We Come From

Our church began as a Bible study in New Albin, Iowa, led by church planters for the Central District of the Evangelical Free Church of America. Christians in the community were compelled to start a Bible-preaching church in the New Albin area. The founders’ vision was for a Christ-centered church to proclaim biblical truth to believers and reach out to the unchurched.

On July 5, 1998, our first public worship service was held at the Town House in New Albin. In 2006, we purchased three lots in New Albin in which we would build our permanent church building. The construction of the building was completed in 2010.

Where We’re Going

We desire to be a gospel light in the Driftless area. We strive to be a church where seekers are welcome and Christians are further discipled and equipped.

We are active in looking for intentional ways to partner with our town and community. Perhaps the greatest area of ministry has been to children and families, as our midweek Kids’ Club program during the school year and Vacation Bible School programs during the summer have been a staple for many years.
